looking to mount my tach on my dash somewhere, would like to see a few differnet pix of differnet locations of where you have done it, this wont be embeded into the dash, so that really doesn't interest me, but you can still post to show it off lol. I'm thinking on the top dash pad either in the middle, just because I'm going to have an SS hood so visibility will be obstructed there anyways, and its a good place to show it off, but might look out of place just sitting in the middle, I"m gonig to take a look at it from the outside of the car, or wedged kinda look in the drivers side corner, this also has a shift light with it. however I want to get the pillar gague pods as well, so by putting it over on the drivers side might restrict it, and get very clusterd.... and also takes a lot of visibility away, seeing as how i'd have a hood on one side and a tach on the other.... and lastly under the two middle heater vents on the dash.... but then you dont get to show it off..... and personally...... I want to lol.

mines a autometer silver-o-lite.

ps. is it just the one bulb that illuminates the gauge? wanting to change it to blue as well with a blue shift light.

well I'm replying to my own post lol, just cuz I did put the tach in, and put it in the middle, pretty happy with it... seems a little unsterdy but hey.... I dont drive it yet... let me know what you think, I think it will look good with the triple gauge pod A-pillar

on my old 82, i put it in the dash:





but on my 91...... welll the big tach just doesnt look right in the car... i ended up giving it to a friend.

i prefer just a shift light.... hidden. my current one is a window switch that turns on the "INFL REST" light. im going to change the back of the dash for that light so that it reads somthing else...


other ideas are shift light behind the vents in the center... so you can see it when its on, but others cant..

or the light in where the cig lighter socket is.
