Thanks!

They are Pacer wheels made by Centerline for Pacer. I dont remember the model. They are 17x9.5's and they sold them as truck wheels. I havent been able to find them in awhile. I belive they were discontinued.

I love them, and I havent seen them on another third gen either!

Hmmm sanding a color changing car would result in some interesting boogers.

UK5 over BC02

another
Hard to get a good picture of Paint chips.

It looks similar to the 96 GrandSport Corvette but 100x better.

lol i hate single stage paint fades fast and then you have to rub the car to make it shine im all about 2 stage paint base-clear im in the prosses of painting my bird as well should turn out really good i have been spending alot of time takeing out factory waves in it but here is some pics of the first night i started work ill post some more when i get around to snapping pics im doing a compleet dip (color change) so im going to jam everything and the interior as for the color took me a long time to decide but finally went with a mystic blue matellic all paint supplys including primmer and sealer cost me the better part of 700 bucks you add in other supplys (paper laqure thinner wax and grease remover and i have around 1200 into it) and a lot of time with my trusty DA gotta love that thing and i baught a bran new 80 gallon air compresser just to run the thing gotta love that sears card
like i said these are from the first night its ready for primmer right now just waiting for the weekend to prime and WET SAND hurray for that gotta love haveing to make the car straight 3 times 1 mettal work 2 plastic work and 3 primmer work but it should look mighty fine when im done and nothing is more nasty than **** brown colored snot just for the bugar people i had to trough that in there

hmm u must been using some junk single stage.
we've used dupont centari for years and had white on a fullsize it set in field for about 3 years well actually around 5 total after bein painted and we done an engine swap and started driving it again but then let it set for around 3 yrs and it turned gren and i took a brillo pad to it to get gren off it from like rust on surface or just mold or something. that made it come back to life was a lil dull so i took some wax and done normal wax brought it right back to way it looked when 1st got done painted.
we havent ever had any fading or nothin w/ centari only probs w/ single stage was some cheap western auto paint which in les then a year had no shine and faded plum to another color.
but havent ever had centari fade any if it did it was so subtle that u couldnt tell it.
but clear coat i dont care alot for it cuz of clear flakin or turning yellow eventually but way i see it normal maintence wil ssave almost any paint except for cheap junk.

as for rubbin by hand we never done that to anything unless just doin a wax on let dry wax off by hand no ned for force or ntohin come right off w/ no probs.
some ppl got better luck w/ diff paints but single stage is my fav and my dads n hes used it for over 20 yrs.

thats a cool story white is a nice color (hides all the uglys) and im not nockin single stage paint im just saying i prefer the shine i get from base clear but both styles have there downsides like you said turning yellow on the clear but thats only if you use cheep clear flaking off the clear once again you can have to problems clear wasnt made for the base serface wasw contaminated of just plain and simple cheep paint ya know ive sprayed alot of sigle stage in my day and if you dont have t he money it works really well my first car i paint was single stage tell you what if you want that paint to really shine like a wet look get some 3m ultra fine rubbing compount and a 8 inch soft pad and go to town with it anyways good luck on your paint work i know your car will look good when your done

yea man its cool i dont knock paint in bc/cc cuz man if u mask off n do lots of stripes n designs man clears the best to eliminate the catch ya finger nail line u get when u mask off the areas not bein stripes or whatever and man they do shine.
that swhy i said u get what u pay for paint wise really counts mna u buy good clear no way itll flake or yellow and u buy nice single stage itll shine but yea man once done im goin extra cut rubbing fine cut hand glaze and machine glaze n all on mien for a great paint and slick finish man id do that to anything.

ya know, after painting my car, I cannot wash it for 7 weeks. I hate that. My car is a walking dust factory as of late. Dam, I did the paint March 1st, so I am thinking in a week or so I can wash it, real light, by hand.

I do not like waiting to wash it, looks like I don't car about my car.

The only thing that ive heard not to do with single stage enamel is that you cant wax it for like 90 days. I wash all of the overspray off my rides the day after theyre painted. and they still shine like a new penny!:lala:
