took apart my gauge cluster...

not the entire thing but just the 2 plastic pieces at the front. im replacing the clear piece with the one from my parts car since mine is cracked in several places. couldn't resist taking a pic and posting it in case anyone's wondered what it looks like back there. pretty neat stuff

i have a q about the bulbs though. it looks like they are the type with the coating around 'em instead of the clear ones where you can see the filament inside. if i replace these with the clear amber ones will it be brighter? i noticed the dash lights in my other car are a bit brighter than on my 91 and am wondering if it has anything to do with the bulbs.

The bulbs are actually clear, they have orange 'bulb condoms' on them to produce the color.

ya i didnt know what you meant by the condom until i went outside again and touched one of them. looked like they were coated.
