Need pics/help: 93-97 Camaro dash in a thirdgen
Im working on getting my 94 Camaro dash in my firebird, but theres a couple of things I'm not sure about. Right now it is in my firebird, just for test fitting. I got it centered, and drilled 2 new holes in the firewall lip for the middle 2 bolts. The passenger side bolt actually lined up with the hole that was already there. On the drivers side, the hole is at a different angle than the firewall lip. I assume this is where people use wire to hang the dash, but is there another way. Also, what did you guys do about the 2 low brackets, the ones against the door posts. I'm not exactly sure what to do with those yet. My biggest concern is what center console to use with this though. My firebird console leaves about a 3" gap between the dash and console, but the coin tray thingy which attaches to the bottom of the dash won't fit. Also, the middle of the dash, where the radio pod is, comes really far forward, only about 1.5 to 2" from the shifter handle in park. If anyone has good pics of a 93-97 camaro dash in a thirdgen it would be greatly appreciated. I tried searching, but everyone is doing 4th gen firebird dashes.

I was afraid of that :P I guess I'll need to find a 93-97 camaro console then. I have another quick question too. How can I tell if my gauge cluster is from a V8 or V6 car? The speedo only goes to like 110 or 115, so I don't think its from a Z28. I will need a V8 one so that the tach reads right. Are the clusters marked anywhere like on a thirdgen?

My 95 Z cluster goes up to 150k. The v6 cluster that I got with the dash only went up to 115. I think you have a v6 cluster.
Also, I think you'll need a dakota digital box for the tach anyway, since I keep hearing something about how the 4th gen tachs need a 4 cyclinder signal.

Yea, I wasnt sure about that either, since 4th gens have the optispark setup. I guess at worst I could make a bezel for the cluster and put autometer gauges in it :P

Here's a thread for an overlay I made for these gauges:
