Power to manual window conversion?
Im getting kinda tired of dicking around with slow power windows, so I was wondering, what would be involved in converting power windows to a manual crank setup?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I dont think it sounds like much fun,
I thought I seen a post around here having something to do with upgrading the power window motors, if thats true I would go with that before I converted to Manual.
My windows go up and down to beat Hell with good motors
I cant remember if the assy has to be removed to replace motor ?
Butt (I love that typo) to convert
I suppose you would have to
pull door panel
remove window, and track and motor assy (this is no fun
if memory serves me, most of the door stuff is pop riveted in.
so you will have to cold chisel rivits off
I dont think it can be done without removal of all that
obtain a manual window crank assy, and reinstall using bolts/rivits
I guess you would need the other door trim piece where the window crank goes as well from the donor car.

Aside from drilling out the rivits, it is worth it to install manual window regulators since they are more reliable. . . since you only replace them once. They won't go out in the middle of a rain storm like some here have experienced including myself.
