A few dissembly pics
I'm taking autobody at college and were finally allowed to bring in stuff to fix and repaint, and since it'd be too much work to bring my car in all at once (damn rusted 1/4's) I decided to bring in my car piece by piece. Since I'm only home on the weekends and thats when I work it's been taking me weeks to get my parts off the car, but Joe_L came down friday night and helped me take the car apart and brought his Camera. Thanks alot Joe, wouldn't of gotten it done without ya
First thing off was the hood, this was actually taken off awhile ago and brought to my school I've already made the blisters functional, just need to paint it now. When I get the hood back I'll be sure to get more pics of the "functionality greatness"

Front, back, ground effects, side mirrors, etc. By the time I bring it in, all that will be left on the inside is the dash & carpet.. Here is a quick pic of my dissasembly.. I noticed your headlight section stayed on.. mine came off with the front clip.. it was part of it..

you can pick up some of those clips at napa or at any auto body store; I don't know what you have in canada but I'm sure that stuff is worldwide. why do I feel like I've got the worst camaro around? you guys haven't got nothing on me!

If the picture was a little more to the left you could see mine and James sitting about a foot apart.
So we had 410 pieces there, and sometimes couldn't find a 1/4 drive rachet between us.
All in all a fun night.

Yeah it was a fun night, but I jsut found out that I can't get the parts in for another 2 weeks. We have an open house at school this week so we need to keep the shop nice and clean, so now painting in there for now, and next week is our march/spring break .
When I finally do get them in though I'll be doing some modifaction to the parts, Gonna shave the antenna, nothing major, but since I've been driving around with it off for the past year and never listen to the radio, I figure why not. And for the front bumber/GFX I might, MIGHT be making it like the picture below. Not sure I'll have the time or even want to do it when the time comes, so it's up in the air for now

You did you a good job with the repair. I usually just use fibre glass on my cars because I don't have easy access to a mig. But when I get something I won't mind working on and have floor holes simular to that I will be using your method.

yah fiberglass may have worked on the other parts but the drivers floor was compleatly gone after i riped up the old patch that was welded in just with my hands soo..
yah but to pass inspection here all unibody cars are supposed to have there floors welded in the full frame cars are allowed rivits and fiberglass type methods.
It only cost 50bucks to rent the welder for the weekend so after doing it myself and only usesing like 20bucks worth of new sheet metal it was actually a great fix for the cost.
I got it painted like 2yrs ago and the 1/4panel was ripe at the top of the well so after it was painted i looked in at the top of the wells and 1/4panels from the inside and i sprayed it with alot of ashphaltundercoating and i think they are holding up well,,,i still havent stuck my fingers up under the lip to see if its ripe but i think if it was im guessing the guy would of bondo'ed it. Only problem of rust i got now is on the front drivers subframe where the crossmember it needs to be replated. I got a thick piece of angle iron welded on there for now holding the crossmember in place.

man you can tell that was photoshopped, the rims are off ratio, the shaved door handles went wrong everything, look at mine and see a real photshop, with shaved door handles, shaved gas cap, and new rims.....

I didn't know you could rent welders, I'm gonna have to check it out that'll save me later on. I had to do my drivers partial floor pan and firewall, and right rear 1/4. which just needs to be block sanded. I've fixed a bunch of other rustouts using the only real fix which is cutting it out and usin new metal. I still have to do the right inner wheelhouse and this piece in the pic.
