I just picked up an 84 Z28 with the Lear drivers seat and the pimpy red custom cloth interior (in desperate need of a cleaning). Its in near perfect condition other than a small rip on the drivers seat bolster (where else...). I'm trying to find a piece of matching cloth big enough for my upholstry guy to replace the one panel.

Anyone know if the red cloth used on the bolsters the same as the red cloth used on non-custom interiors (ie, no "Camaro" fabric) or on other years besides 84? Any leads on where to find some of this fabric either NOS or reproduction? I think what I'll probably wind up doing is finding a good passenger seat from another 84 and using a chunk of fabric off the back of it to replace the panel.

 

I bought a couple used red Camaro seats from Hawks third Gen Parts (see banner ad above) for some pads and mechanical components... and while the cloth was mostly disgusting and shot (as I was forewarned), there was some good red cloth left here and there. Sorry I didn't keep any - but contact Hawks.
