Can door moldings come off and be reused?

As the title asks, has anyone taken the edge guards off of a thirdgen and been able to reuse them? I noticed they are like $32 a peice just for the fender and Q-Panel peices, so I'm thinkin about goin to a yard and tryin to find them, but need to know what I can do to be able to ensure they will still be able to be reused. Thanks.

yes they can.....

most body shops re-use them all the time, like stated before if you clean the adhesive tape from them all you have to do is replace the adhesive tape to the molding and your good to go. My suggestion is get the moldings then take them to a local automotive paint store, show them what your trying to do & they can usually sell you all the proper solvents & proper adhesive tape to re-apply the moldings. But I will say that I agree with BLACK ICE, I think they look cleaner without them. Good Luck.....

I thought my T/A would look better without them so I didn't have the guy put them on after it was repainted. Now I feel different. The door is just to big and there's nothing to break it up. My body man said its best to replace them because he said its difficult to remove them without creasing them. He said some of them have a metal rod in the center that helps keep the straight. My car is going back into the shop in a few weeks, my cousin backed into my car 1 month after i got it back.

It's also getting the wing put on it and some small stuff fixed that I am not happy with. Ohhhhhhhhh I can't wait.

The door just looks so much better without those stupid moldings on there. It looks like the was it should have been. I'd say that you should try it without all the moldings on, and see what you think. I know that i'm not putting mine back on whenever i'm done..
