removing carpet adhesive?
On my 84 Z28 there is a carpet adhesive that is very hard and almost like its welded to the floor. It is an offwhite color. Anyone got any good ways of removing it.

Is this stuff in about 5 places in your car? Say about 1 in the trunk, 2 in the back seat, and two in the front section? If so, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It is a sealant over some factory drain plates in the floor boards.

Thats the stuff. The only problem is one is right where I want to put one of the supports for my roll cage so its got to go. I will grind, chisel or what ever to get it out but thought maybe someone had a better idea.

The best way to get that off is to take a 90 degree die grinder with a wire wheel and sanding disc's. That is how I removed mine when I changed out my carpet. I also resealed them with new sealant before I put the new carpet down.
