1982-1984 T/A Taillights set up...!
I hope this is the right board to be posting this question...
I purchased 1984 T/A Taillights for my '87 Firebird off of eBay. I don't exactly know how the set-up goes... Does anyone have pictures of their '82-'84 taillights lit up, and could possibly tell me where the turn signals light up, and the reverse lights.
Thanks, Firebirdjoe

the turn signals are the outer 2 lights of the 3 grouping on each side.
000 000 .0> tail lights
808 808 .8 > break lights
*0* 000 or 000 *0* . * > turn signals
All of which is the same on 85 and up tail lights i believe, I cant say for sure, but I do know about the 82 to 84 style cuz I drive behind them all the time. My friend Jeff has 82- 84 styles tail lights on his 85 TA.
hope this helps

TAs came with 4 lights on each side like the firebirds till 85 when the firebird changed to 5 lights on each side and TAs stayed with 4. Put it in reverse to find back up lights, these go in the middle (white lens) next to the screaming firechicken in the middle. Next turn your turn signal on and hook up the flashing lights on the outside of the taillights, the ends. The ones in the middle are for brake lights 1 lights up with headlights on (next to turn signal), one with brakes next to parking lights. You will want to cut off the extra light on each side and wrap up the wires to make everything fit.

I believe the '82-84's were the same.
Could be wrong though, I dont see many cars from those years.

My lights are the same as 82FirebirdTA described.
I believe he is correct.
I have the 85+ style in my 84 T/A. My 84 lights were also like that. I simply switched my 84 lights for the 85 and did not move any bulbs.

Thanks!!
I think the diagram below with the red firebird is correct. I did some research and all of them showed up exactly as the diagram. That is also the way I had a set from an '85 set up on my '91 Firebird. Thanks for your help guys!!
