Door hinge repair kits
Alright I'm tired of those damn sagging doors!
I recently bought a homemade door hinge repair kit for $25 off some dude on ebay, and It didn't work at all.
My question is about those expensive ones that classic industries has, ($75 non-greasable $95 greasable). Has anyone tried these out?
Does anyone know of a door hinge repair kit out there that works? Or does anyone know of a way to fix those sagging doors?

I need one of those too, but no luck, cept that i work at a body shop and have all the parts to fix it. Take it to a shop, they should be able to do it for ya for minimal money.

I sell the same standard (non-greasable) and greasable upper door hinge repair kits that are manufactured by 3rdGenSoltuions as CI sells. The only difference is that I install little grease fitting covers on the zerk fittings to keep them free of contaminants. I also sell the GM door spring tool and a E-Z Store door alignment tool. The 5-piece long-pin punch set is handy to drive out the upper hinge pin once you've ground off the swaged end. I also stock the GM door striker bolt. Imagine that, a one-stop source for all the items you'd need to repair your sagging doors and from a sponsor of this web site.

Forgot to mention that i have used the hinge kit from the above link, the non greaseable ones, on my TA. I had previously installed new GM upper door hinges on my 84 Camaro SC, and the kit worked just as well as, if not slightly better than the new GM hinges. I like how the lower door hinge pin kit is included with the upper kit. Worth my 75 dollars not to have sagging doors.

Hey jlarsson, I can't remember the name of the guy I bought it off of, but I think he was from Canada! I think in his advertisement he was using a red Fire Bird for an example.
I don't want to say that the bolts he sells don't work at all, it just didn't do anything for my sagging door. Maybe I should have used two of them and replaced both hinge pins. But I would rather spend the 75 dollars and get a professionaly made one that I know works for sure.

Hey lonsal, If I buy the door hinge repair kit do I really need the door alignment tool? Can't it be done without it? My doors sag, but there not super bad.
And by the way, what is the gm spring tool for? And why do I need it?

The alignment tool is not totally neccesary, but helpful. The spring tool is to put the springs back on the hinges, they come off when you take the hinge apart, you reassemble the lower hinge, and then have to compress the spring to put it back on.
