Just letting you know about the Megashifter....
I forgot to take some pictures of it before we yanked it out,
but you can use the B&M Mega Shifter in a Firebird with the 4th gen Manual Console.
My brother did a 6 speed to Auto swap on his 96 T/A and used the B&M megashifter he got from my friend J'sTA.
Shifter was installed in the same location it would be in a 3rd Gen Auto car.
We did an Auto to 6 speed conversion on his car saturday (being the nice brother I am, I let him use my 6 speed setup) so that he could drive his car.
Depending on how long it takes for him to get his Auto replaced, I may put the B&M into my formula and take some pictures of it for you guys.

Firebirds and Trans Ams in the early 80's had a similiar style console to the Camaro, which allows it to work on them.
That is the only reasoning I can think of for saying that it won't work on a Formula.
I doubt it will break since the car doesn't get any traction in 1st through 3rd, and the motor isn't broken in yet so he can't get on it too hard.
I'll get some pics this week if I put it in.

Car: too many ...
I actually disliked the Megashifter so much I gave it away to Revlimit for free. The functionality was cool but majority of the time I would dwell on how much of a PITA it was to get the car out of park every time I drove anywhere. Not to mention the hamdle kept comming loose (even with tape!). I finally got sick of it and got rid of it. But I tell you what, it would look slick in a 4th gen manual console with a custom boot. Just wish the damn thing was more user friendly (if there is even a term like that for car parts lol)

I'll put it in tomorrow if I am feeling better, feel like crap right now so I won't be out partying like in the past.

I have the megashifter installed in my Trans Am. It just fits.... The plate fits right up against the power mirror switch and leaves just enough room to pull the button back to open the ash tray.
Here's a pic (hard to see up close)

Didn't have a chance to install it yesterday, was dealing with the cops about the guys that followed my brother home new years eve. the guy my brother beat up kicked my tail light. 30 minutes later, they shot at the cars and hit the garage. Didn't hit the cars, thank ***.

I am still pissed about the tail light though. I don't even feel like driving the car since the light is broke, looks all ghetto.

The install in a firebird works fine... i mean it CAN be installed without any problems but it doesnt always fit right with the console of the formulas. Cydawg did it an dit worked, but it was still a monstrosity on the console.
A little fabrication would be fine but i still like the way it looks in my car..
