Your going to have to deal with modifacations with either spoiler
you choose, filling holes and drilling new ones. The 4th gen wing looks great on a third gen (do a search) and you'll find pics, but you'll have to lengthen the two middle supports. As for a high rise Z spoiler. You'll have to drill new holes and fill in the old ones but in my opinion they are better left for the camaro's. Don't cross breed your car.

This is the link to my wing conversion on my GTA. The donor was a 4th gen T/A . If you have any questions just fire away and I will try to help out the best I can.

thanks guys... i thought about that whole high rise spoiler mess and its just not worth it. no offense to you camaro owners, but GTA spoilers are nicer. I will start looking for one and hopefully i'll have a good buy. if you guys know of a source to get one used let me know. i'd greatly appreciate it. Also is there any way to beautify my original 88 TA spoiler. it seems to be made of rubber and its starting to peel. thanks in advance for your input guys later~

The only way to help the looks of your factory junk rubber spoiler is to sand and repaint and thats only a temporary fix,it will crack and peel again and the work to repaint it is not worth the effort so it can just crack and peel again.I replaced mine with a 91-92 style and my factory one looks beautifull setting in a landfill somewhere where it belongs.I was going to go the 4th gen route
but wasn't ready to take on that big of a project at the time.
I think the best looking third gen is a TA/GTA with a 4th gen wing and a Ram Air II hood.By the way razor nice GTA(looks like mine).

Eight8TA, try doing a search on here. There was a guy selling the 91-92 style OEM wing. I can't remember his name but I THINK(actually more of a guess...) it was Richard Polly. He had a few hundred of them this summer and as of last month he had a few left. They were cheap and just needed paint. That would be a whole lot easier than trying to make a 4th gen wing fit perfectly.
And Bill thanks for the compliment. I need to get a few pics of the wing painted and installed which it has been for over 3 months. The car is just in storage right now until some snow melts away up here.

Yea, the guys name is Troy Polly, Thats who I got mine from.I live about 2 miles from his dad so I got mine for $100 picked up. Then about $30 in materials to install with a wing/hatch paint job.

I think that your best bet would be to replace your old sh*tty wing with a 4th gen wing. I picked mine up at a junkyard for $100.00 and I just molded the sides down to fit and shaved the front so it sits down against the window and extended down the 2 center posts and it looks awesome. I really need to get sum pics posted of my car sumtime.

I think he's trying to do it as cheep as possable with the least amount of modding/bodywork as possable, and your lucky at finding a 4th gen wing for $100, I watched e-bay and checked my local yards regularly and most of the time they want to sell the whole hatch insted of just the spoiler and then it gets expensive paying for a whole hatch just to get a spoiler.

The High Rise spoiler looks good from all angles except from the rear since the T/A rear is about 2" wider.

I'd recommend staying with the wraparound, 85-90 or the 91-92.
