for those who have installed an automatic 4th gen console

i'm so close to being done....

how do you modify that angled peice that the shifter sits on. it needs to move back. someoen said they used a hammer to just bang it down... but that seems a lot easier said than done.. i've been wailing on that thing for a while, and it didn't even make a mark..... how do you do it....

I used a dremel and cut the plate off the tranny tunnel to give the clearence needed to mount the shifter
