Engine: 350

Red dash light
I have 2 '91 formulas' and one has a little red led light on the bottom of the dash by speed gauge on left bottom corner and the other car does not.
Does anybody else have this light, looks like a theft device, it is stock from factory, not a cheap job with drill by original owner. Will have to take pic and attach tomorrow. Andy

No, light never comes on! I have no alarm hooked up to it. It is stock though, molding is perfect along circle with a little of the black plastic dash trim raised along it, it is stock from factory, don't get me wrong as it is not a cheap 1/2 butt job like most cars on this site with alterations that look ghetto. Car is mint, had 8900 miles, still smells new and runs ne and looks new. Andy

Hello andy,
As I mentioned in my post earlier, the red light is there to signal that the alarm system is armed in the event that your car came with the factory alarm installed. This was true with the 1992 RS that I previously owned, the light was there, but the alarm system was not installed. I had an alarm system installed after getting the car and had it wired to that light. The light stayed off until the alarm was armed by me shutting off the engine, getting out of the car and closing the door.

i have an '88 Firebird 305 TBI and also have this "alarm light." i'm the third owner so i figured one of the previous owners had put and alarm on it and taken it off before they sold it, but it appears that isn't the case. i wonder if there was an RPO code for an alarm...but none of my RPO codes say anything about an alarm.
