I think I remember reading the Dakota Digital bought out Cyberdyne, but I am not 100% positive.

well if they were bought out, i guess i will have to settle for the nordskog (sp) cluster.

i am installing a t56 into my 89 roc and want to upgrade to a more accurate digital cluster to avoid the expensive mechanical to electric signal generator. does anyone know if i would even have to get a calibration box for the nordskog cluster because it says that it has the calibration stuff built in?

anyway,

thanks
anthony

I thought Nordskog bought out Cyberdine years ago.

If it has the calibration in it, then it should work by itself.
We put an Autometer Speedo in my friends 82 with a T56 and it has the calibration built in and was easy to calibrate.

Man I was gonna make a reference to Terminator in this thread yesterday, but I didn't know if anybody would catch on. LOL glad to see someone else thought the same thing when they read the title.

I know this is from a couple months ago, but Summit is carrying the Cyberdyne stuff again. They have it listed right next to Nordskog in their new catalog.

Yeah, ya know, the funny thing is that on Summit's website, if you view one of the Nordskog gauges the description says they're available in red, amber, green and blue... but it doesn't look like they have any of the blue ones. I think I'm gonna call and ask anyway, 'cause that blue would look sweet!

They don't need a calibration box, it's all done in the panel itself, plus it comes with it's own sensors. I have the green guages.

I do like them, I have to make a plate so they don't look so ghetto fabulous. My only concern is that the tach is slow to update so with the free space I'm going to put in a 5" tach. Haven't hooked the VSS up yet so I don't know how well the speedo works yet, but I am a pretty good judge of speed.

what do you mean slow to update? i was under the impression that the digital had a really fast refresh rate, and are suppose to be really accurate.

i see that you dont have the camaro cluster, but a universal, but the gauges look nice. i was wanting the ones that are desighned to fit in the factory spot.

i plan on having my engine rev to at least 6500 rpm, probably more, so i cant have a laggy tach. anyone with cyberdyne or intellitronics (sp) clusters that have them let us know if they are accurate or if they are slow.
edit!!! - just realized you have a firebird, so your gauges are suppose to be that way.

thanks
