GFX swap
I'm still in the process of doing my gfx swap on my 86 T/A. I'm going w/the 92 setup and I'm a little stuck.
since my car already has the holes drilled and everything--once the old(86)brackets are removed what would be the best/easiest way to put on the newer style brackets? I'm talking about the one on the lower sills. Would they use the same old holes or would I have to redrill new holes? If so what would be the best way to drill them? Meaning would I have to measure something to get the right distance or is it something that could be eyeballed?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Car: '92 droptop bird
Engine: 5.7L,mild cam etc.
Transmission: modded 700r4 w/2600
depending on how good you are,i used a large piece of construction paper(poster board)cut it up put the afx on it outlined and cut holes then taped it to the car and traced it with a greese pencil,in less than 4hrs the car went from an s/e bird to a trans am on the outside........

Which holes? The holes to mount to the body or the holes to mount the bracket to the body of the car?
Do any of them match up to the older style?

the older ones are hard fiberglass, and the newer ones are soft flexible urethane just like the bumper covers

I know the quarters don't line up-I had to redrill the mounting holes for those--which was easy. seems the only thing holding me up is the damn sill mounting brackets.

i dont think the urethane side pieces have brackets....i think they just have like tabs that are all part of the moulding that take sheetmetal screws into the rocker panel

The pic above is the 92 style bracket on a junker. I have to get that bracket on my 86--and align it up correctly--that's my biggest worry. I don't really want to drill any holes that aren't required.
