The prob is that there is no kind of molding for our plastic pieces, they just attach to the other pieces with little POS plastic screws. So when they get older, and they flex a bit plastic against plastic.. makes the sound you love. Not much you can do. If it REALLY bothers you, you can take some silicon, put it on the lip of the plastic where they touch, after it drys put all the pieces back, kinda like a gasket. May help. Other than that. I can probably say without getting too bashed 9/10 of our cars squeek. SFC's Help, Im hoping they help me. For now just buy some subs and drown them out You could get that foam for sound proofing and just fill every gap back there, that would do it...

Oh almost forgot. I heard lots of squeeking in my car, I realised the spare wasn't completely bolted tight and was moving. Rubber against thin metal.. theres maybe a quick answer.. Good luck

If it just recently started, it's possible that the rear hatch weatherstripping is finally worn out. Give that a check.

also could be that the bolts for the hatch hinges are coming loose. Even one loose bolt up there is enough to start squeeking because of all the body flex these cars have.

There are 4 bolts on the glass itself, and another 4 under the rear header panel.

i will tell you exactly what it is

it is the black pull-over cover for your hatch... it is squeeking

i had the same problem in my 91 RS... checked everything, turned out to be the hatch rollover thingie.
