what is this for?

i have an 87 trans am ane when i was taking the dash apart to play with my gauges i noticed some extra wires back there. i have an open spot next to my rear window defogger and was wondering what option goes there. it goes in this order from left to right - open spot, rear window defogger, hatch release. any ideas whats supposed to go here?
