Minor Nicks in Paint

I have a couple of pencil eraser sized scratches on my 87 T/A's right rear quarter panel. There is no dents, just the paint is gone. The previous owner it appears put some crapy *** touch-up paint on it the doesn't match the car. I was wondering what steps I should take to touch-up the damaged area and blend it in. Thanks!

I used the tech article from here on touching up nicks for a pretty big scrape I had on my 92 RS and it worked great. Check it out here
