If the bumper cover is cracked then you are in for an expensive replacement. They are EXPENSIVE.

so any 85-92 bumper cover would work?...assuming it was for a gfx car to begin with. it doesnt look like a berlinetta bumper would work w/ the 92 gfx by the browsing on ebay ive done.

Yeah gotta have the gfx to begin with, z28 rs 88sportcoupe. The berly nose and sc (with the 3 slits) wont accept gfx.

Hey, I have an '88 Sport Coupe and need a front fiberglass part and rear bumper. The rear bumper, and the upper part of the front (the fascia? where the headlights are) are cracked and beyond repair.

With that said, I really like the 91-92 RS ground effects style. Now, since I have to buy a new front and rear bumper anyways, I think I'll just try and get the 91-92 bumpers.
But, is that how it is, or is it just the lower parts that are different? Like can I get any 85-92 front and rear bumpers, and then just the front spoiler, and all the ground effects from the 91-92, or do I need to have the 91-92 bumpers? I guess what I'm trying to ask is do the 91-92 (rs) bumpers differ from the 85-90?
I just want to convert my 88 sports coupe to a 91-2 RS, exterior wise.

Sorry for all the rambling, and the (somewhat) getting off topic from the original poster's topic (hope you forgive me hehe) but I hope someone can decipher what I'm trying to ask and help me lol.

Thanks A MILLION for any help

simply put : the 85-92 front bumper covers are the exact same for all of the RS, Iroc-z , Z28's without question end stop period.

The GFX though changed in 91-92 and they put those little scoops in em but a 91-92 GFX would bolt up to an 85-90 front bumper cover and vica versa theyre all interchangeable.

You can leave your nose on and change the front ground effect to 91-92. The holes on the fender have to be changed a little though. The side skirt gfx all need to be replaced with the 91-92 style which i think might require some modifications to the mounting holes and so does the rear bumper becasue the gfx on the rear bumper is molded into the bumper itself

List of things ya need
front lower chin spoiler
side door and rocker panel gfx
rear 1/4 gfx
and rear bumper
all from a 91-92 car

hope it helps , good luck

Thanks, exactly the kind of answer I was looking for

Now about getting the pieces... I know I can get the ground effects off of ebay, and i've seen a 91-92 front spoiler up for bids once or twice, but the rear bumper I'll have to look for in a junkyard I'm thinking as shipping would be crazy high. Even though a 91-92 with the rear bumper may be hard to find at a junkyard, there's still hope as most of the junked f-body's I've seen at scrapyards are there because of front collisions, so hopefully I'll find a rear.

Yeah , your best bet would be a junkyard or keep checking the classifieds here off the main page, theres ussually a car or so getting parted out.
