3rd Gen Dash Pad help!!!

I finally got another Dash pad for my 92 camaro. My old one had about a 1000 cracks.
What can i do for this one to keep it from cracking? Is there some type of cleaner or oil that will help keep it from cracking?

Thanks

I've heard DO NOT USE the armour all stuff. I've heard that's very bad.

Maybe you could get one of those sun blockers to keep the sun from hitting it?

Armorall will dry out all the natural oils of plastic and rubber, so if you ever stop using it the plastic will crack and fade really bad. I've always cleaned mine with windex, and I've never had any trouble with it. It also won't blind you on a sunny day

NO SILICONE!!!

Whatever you do, avoid anything with silicone in it. That's what dries out the oils in vinyl.

I believe Meguiars puts out a couple of silicone-free vinyl/leather conditioners. Their line is numbered ("#3 Yellow Wax", et al), but I don't know which number is the best for your purpose.

Check around a few of the detailing websites for exotic and classic cars, I'll bet you find a lot of info.

HTH.

Thanks all of you, I bought the Meguiars stuff. However I now have a BIGGER problem. When I left the parts store I felt a stumble on take off and then all hell came out. It now backfires out the intake and has no power. I'm guessing my timeing chain jumped, but I have not got up the energy to find it out.

Run a quick compression test, it may be a simple as a stuck vavle-hate to see ya tear the front of the motor off before testing the simple things first
