Removable Steering wheel
OK I have seen a Grant steering wheel setup that is an anti-theft device that allows you to remove your steering wheel and lock a cover on the colum when you park your car.
Has any one out ther used this setup, and is is easy to defeat and steel the car anyway?

someone here is using it, but i forget who.
it works great, if you don't mind carrying your steering wheel around.
how many car theifs carry a spare steering wheel around with the correct linkage to attach to the grant device?

The Grant device uses a key to lock the potecting plate on also, I was tempted to get it myself.
I have 2nd hand testimony that, like all removable steering wheels, they get loose and have a bit a bit of play over time. That is why they get replaced quite often. This has steered me away from removeable steering wheels and am looking into a good alarm system with my own little tricks to stop theives.
