tail light ?'s

the tail light on my 83 firebird has seen better days
i bought a tail light assembly off of a 86 firebird and was wondering if it would either bolt right in n my 83 or if there was any modifyin i had to do to it to get it to fit??

From what I understand, all the tail light assemblies work with each other, so they should bolt right in

An 86 tail light is different, it will have a different socket for the turnsignal plus extra small 194 bulbs for taillights.
any 82-85 will have the same taillights you need or you could swap in 85-90 t/a lights those are direct bolt in and look cool, i put them in my formula

i found this out today when i tried to swap in the new assembly.
i think i may just do the 85-90 t/a assembly cause the orginal is to crack'd to een consider keeping in there.
