Engine: 305 tpi LB9
Transmission: 700r4 crazy beefed up one
Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
can this be fixed

can these rust spots be fixed or am i better off going to the jy for a better condition hood. i prefer to stay with the orig as i like the style. how would i go about making the repair if it can be done.

Ugh, trash it. That's a really bad spot to have rust in, you will never totally get rid of it, it will keep coming back like a bad cold. That's the lowest part on the hood, and where the water gathers, so most tend to rust out there.

Axle/Gears: 3.73 10 bolt
yay time for a fiberglass replacement? Basically can it be fixed....probably, it would just involve cutting out all of the rusted areas and replacing it with metal for reenforcement. But in the end youd probably just be better off replacing it if you can afford to.

you can buy a used hood for less than it would cost in labor to fix all that rot.

It would be cheaper and easier to buy a new one. Although if you have a welder you can grind out all the rust and weld in and ahape some new metal in those space. Time consuming but if money is tight then thatll work. But i agree with buying one.
