I just received a SS Camaro hood and the grill is open. There are about 5 or 6 1" holes cut to allow the air/rain/snow to come straight into the engine bay. The edges are also cut very short. Is this the way they all come?

 

Mine came completely open with a sort of honeycomb grille insert, kind of like the stock 4th gen ss hoods. I don't have any close pics to post though.

 

Must be the way they come. Have any problems in the rain?

It will get pretty wet in the engine bay going down the road if you drive it in the rain. But yours may not be so bad if it only has a few small holes as openings rather than the whole grille being open like mine. But if it does get bad,you can probably cut out a piece of ABS plastic or sheetmetal painted black or whatever to put behind it.
