Can't turn high beam on
The only way to turn them on is by lifting the stearing wheel all the way up. How do I fix this?

sounds like it is time for a new dimmer switch. you will have to take the wheel off and work your way down the column removing the guts to get to the switch. hardest part is getting the wheel off. i don't think there is any adjustments but i may be wrong.

hmm you people in virginia sure talk funny......
lol only kidding
the level on the column you pull to turn high beams on or low beam is called the dimmer switch it is inside the column the lever is attached to it.

so if the high beams still work heres how to fix it cheap....
my actually stayed on highbeams untill i fixed the switch engaging problem.
you will see all this stuff after u pull the drivers side knee pad and fuse panel stuff. i put my seat all the way back and simply laid on my back starring up at all of this with a light, i tired to move the switch are with the two bolts but the one is very hard to get to and the zip ties were small enough and fit fine, a few zip ties later and some tape to hold them inplace and my highbeams work fine.
excuse the spelling

MdFormula350 - that picture helps... I had a similar problem on my IROC, the headlight dimmer was very hard to operate and sometimes wouldn't work. I took off the knee panel under the dash (5 - 10mm bolts). Turns out my switch was fine. The problem was an extreme amount of friction between the dimmer switch actuator rod and the steering column sleeve. I put a few drops of motor oil on the rod where it was scraping the column - and it's worked fine ever since.

You don't need to remove the steering wheel. Just take off the hush panel, put the steering column up all the way, and move the front seet all the way back. Now all you have to do is lay on your back with your head by the break petal for a little while. No it's not too bad actually. There are three small bolts if I remember right that holds it in place. It may not be broken. You can loosen 2 of the bolts I believe and slide it forwards towards the steering wheel. You will notice there is a rod that goes into it. By moving the dimmer switch closer the the wheel, the rod can more easily push the switch all the way.
I had the same problem you're having. Dimmer switch adjustment was all I needed to do. Good luck.
