I'm getting there, haven't applied it yet, still cleaning the place I need to put it...
Here's the next problem, cleaned the dirt off, but near the tire (on the underside... there's all sorts of black crap... rubber from the tire or tar from the road... anyone have a good method for removing this stuff without removing the paint?

wish I had more pics on but if you look at my engine compartment on my website the entire thing was done in POR with the topcoat protecting the u/v exposed places.. Also did the rear end and gas tank..
Good stuff.. but ensure there is no greasy residue anywhere you put it...

That rubber stuff is undercoating, I've got to get rid of it too. Do a search for "removing underocatings" and you might find something.

How long have you owned the car? Do you live in a rocky climate with lots of dirt roads, or are you no the first owner of the car? My undercoating is the same rubbery crap, but mine's so old I can pick it off with my fingers in spots. And yes, it's only around the wheels with some in the front. It could be that a large majority of the underocating has been flaked off due to debris from the road, too.

I just got that stuff. It works really well. Dries like a rock and covers perfectly. Your suppose to clean the surface w/ this stuff called, "Marine Clean." Whoever sells POR 15 should have it. Then, you use this stuff called "Metal Ready" if the metal is shiny and not rusted. I still used Metal Ready on my surface rust spots, etc...just for extra insurance. Don't use Degreasers or Cleaners w/ oils, etc. That Marine Clean stuff should do the trick!!
Good luck!
