Squeaky T-Tops
Hey everyone, I have a 92 RS, with T-tops. they squeak a lot, most of the time I have the radio cranked too loud to hear them but when I have to ride quite, the tops squeak a lot! anny ideas on a quick and (cheap) fix? I put some silicon grease in there the other day but no change.

try to tighten the screws that are on the t-tops.
i use spray silicon my myself, a good cleaning begoe with some water and a towel works great also.
U really need to look into subframe connectors, they made all kinds, bolt ons, weldons.
they help tighten the unibody up alot in that area to help reduce body flex.
a very good mod to do.

Use Vaseline to coat all the rubber weather seals...it will lubricate them and soak into the rubber a bit to keep them soft. The squeaking comes from them losing the petroleum in the rubber over time, thus becoming hard. If you go a little heavy on the Vaseline, it will definitely not hurt anything. Do it to the door seals and hatch seals at the same time, you will notice a big difference.
