question about paint jobs.............

I want your guys thoughts, I am getting a new paint job and i was looking at going with the Plus 4 job here http://1daypaint.com/1daypaintsystems.html They did the paint job last time and did a rather good job. What do you guy think? too expensive? etc. Only reason why i ask because $1200+ is a ****load of money coming out of my wallet. any thoughts would be greatly appriecatied.

I paid $1200 for a one-stage polyurethane with extra prep sanding and a 4 year warranty from www.dallasbodyshop.com , so that Plus 4 looks like a lot better deal than what I got.

i love this part....

You can choose from over 15,000 beautiful, colors including metallics, pearls and micas. We also offer free color matching in this system
i wish the product alone cost that much, forget what the grand totals can be on pearls, candies, flake, etc.

it's amazing what some of these shops get away with.

The more I look over the website the more I'm actually considering it. I want my car painted bad and I'll take it in tomorrow if I could just find the right place for the right price.

Does anyone have any experience with once of these places? Is it like a Maaco? I hope not. Their PLUS 4 has a 5 year warranty. That doesn't sound too bad. I know there's some of you guys that would say.... "Well you'll need it!" . Just wondering if anyone has experience with them.

And, IROC-Z4ever... you said they did the paint job last time. So why are you painting the car again? Did it not last too long, or was it a different car, or what?

One day paint job PLUS 3 Package
Do a little prep work yourself. Make sure you take pics before the paint job. It'll work. But I'd go with the PLUS 3 and then add a clearcoat for an extra $100. It's the same stuff. Do your body work though, because I had a dent in the rear qtr panel and they painted it before the bondo dried. It bubbled and we made them repaint it again. It's not bad though.

This pic is before they repainted it due to the bubbling. I personally wouldn't go w/ them because of the orange peel on the doors.
