corvette seat pics?
I've been thinking about putting c$ seats in my TA, I love the 94-96 style in tan. I did a search and found out they don't go backwards however I'm still interested and I see them on ebay for good prices sometimes. Just wondering if anyone has some pics of what they look like in a 3rd gen, I couldn't find any. Thanks

Im sure youre not going to see many in our cars. They dont flip forward, so they render your back seats useless... So unless you've got a rollbar that already makes your back seats useless, you're not going to use them. It would be neat to see though...

definately a disappointment that they don't flip. I was drooling over these beauties, looks like they went cheap!

nosaint has a pair in his 85 TA and they look fanstastic.
But if I were you, I'd sit in some for a long time first. I always thought C4 seats were great until I bought my 91 Vette. I'm a fairly big guy (but not huge), and I just DO NOT fit in them. The back portion is too wide to cradle me properly, and the seat is so narrow that my legs squeeze together and it feels like my junk is going to suffocate. After I drove the car for a while the foam losened up and now they are much more comfortable in the seat, but my upper body still slides around.
The flo fit seats in my GTA are 1000% better, and you can find new flo fit seats for less than a mint pair of used C4 seats.

Correction guys, they do flip forward for access to the back seat. I have a set of C4seats in my Formula and I'm also a big guy (6'6" 260lbs) and they feel great. Mine have a small lever in the headrest back that allow the seat to flip forward.

The fact that you find them comfortable also brings up a point that I failed to mention... the C4 seats changed over the years. My 91 happens to have the worst style for a big guy. The older ones had a smaller edge down in the legs, and the 94-96 style completely eliminated that edge. That edge on the 91 seats is huge, and is what presses my legs together.

whats with you guys and the fact that the seats dont recline?? I dont sleep in my car anyways and if i did they are so comfy that i could probably sleep in them anyway.
Second, the do fold forward a bit so that people in the back can get in not that i have passengers either

They do recline also, just not as far as the original seats do. Mine are from an 88 which I prefer over the later style you are referring to.
