82-84 Trans Am Fenders
Greetings. Recently, my 'vertible was in an accident that will require me to replace the fenders. As this was something I was going to do before the accident, i have several questions.
What are the major differences between the 82-84 Firebird Fenders and the 85-90 Fenders?
How about the differences between the 82-84 Firebird and the 82-84 T/A?
I know that the 82-84 T/A fenders have larger air vents than the later versions, but other than that, are there major differences?
I am going to have to replace the nose, fenders, and hood, so any advice you can give me would be much appreciated.

As far as the firebird fenders I think they are the same but don't hold me to that.
As for the Trans Am fenders I know the only difference is where the mounting holes are drilled for GFX if any. I had an 84 T/A and was going to use the fenders on my 86. I didn't due to damage that they had that I didn't want to fix. The air extractors are different for the 82-84's and 85-90's.If you use 85-90 fenders and use the 82-84 gfx together just drill the mounting holes lower in the fender and fill the upper holes. That's something for you to decide but I know where I'm at the 85-90 fenders are the easiest to come by.
Hope this helps.
