Car: 1989 Firebird
Engine: LB8 (2.8L V6)
Transmission: MD8 (Auto)
Do a search of old posts to get an idea of a cost... it might not be CA-specific, but I know this has come up before. The general consensus is it's not worth the money/time/effort to convert a hard top to t-top and you should sell the hard top and just buy a t-top car.

Car: 89 Firebird Formula(Totalled), 91 C
Engine: Mild 350
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73 :-(
If you want t-tops that bad, sell your hardtop and buy a t-top car. The money you'll spend to have it done will be comparable to the actual value of the entire car, I work in a body shop and can tell you its not worth it. It will never be as good as a factory t-top car, trust me.
