finally nailed down that rattle

i finally found that rattle that was buzzing every time my bass hit over the stereo. it was the vents in the door jams right below the latch. they were loose and rattling against the body. took me forever to track it down. check your cars, i wouldnt be surprised if you guys had the same problem.

i found that the rattle was the flappers behind the grille on those things, tighting them down didnt help so i covered them with duct tape.

its been known for a while that those thing rattle. its caused from rapid changes in air pressure inside the speaker cavity from when the woofer moves in and out...the flaps cant compensate fast enough, so the whole thing gets pushed out and rattles. someone said they pulled out a cluster of 4 flaps and that allowed enough air to escape so it didnt rattle. i tried to silicone the entine piece to the car..that didnt work.
