I know how it is doin everythin outside...We have a huge 2 bay shop and my dad keeps it full with his stuff and cars. He's like you can have that fenced in area back there...So I do my motor swap outside in the wet ground! I paint my car in the driveway...Ugh! It sucks!

yeah, working on the car outside sucks, my driveway isn't even paved where the car is, it's just dirt. every time i dropped something, i gotta search for 10 minutes cuz it's hiding in the dirt, then i have to go clean it off again. plus it sucks cuz i get home from work at 5:30, it starts to get dark around 7:30, so that only gives me a window of like 2 hours to work on it. it sucks, cuz i have so much detailing left to do before we drop in the motor, and i have like no time to do it. painting the whole car outside must really suck, hopefully when it comes time to paint my car, the guy will have room in his garage to paint it.

I worked on mine During a Thunderstorm and got shocked...And pulled many hours, Including finally pulling the old motor out, With a huge spotlight. That helps with heat too!

an excellent example of how wonderful it is working outside. we're painting stuff today, pulleys, brackets, waterpump, bellhousing, etc. got everything painted, laid across the back of a car, on the picnic table, etc. then comes the rain, not really rain, just like a 5 minute shower. just enough to get all the **** i just painted wet. not sure of the damage, but i'm hoping that the paint was dry enough by then. i was in a frenzy to get everything inside, so i didn't get a chance to check it.

maybe next time you'll stick a few posts in the ground around the picnick table or whatever and have a tarp ready if the weather is unpredictable where you are.
