Firebird to Camaro
I was recently involved in an accident with my 1986 firebird:( , where basically everything from my raditor mounts up are messed, my hide-aways, front quarter panels, everythings gone. Fortunately i got an 86 camaro layin around for parts, its got a good front end, good hood, and ok quarter panels. Does anyone know if that front end and hood will fit onto my firebird, and if so how dificult it is to do, any info would be appreciated, ill send pics when i get it all done

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
It can be done; you'll need to swap over both fenders, hood, front impact bumper (the big steel beam) and nose.
If you plan to eventually put Firebird pieces back on, you can just leave the wiring for the pop-up headlights in place, lengthen a few wires to the front parking lights, and add a couple wires and connectors for the inboard hi-beams. Otherwise just swap in the underhood headlight harness from the Camaro - it'll work fine with the Firebird switch.
