Someone know what this is...

Hey guys,

The car in the picture is being held in place by a stand/rack which allows you to rotate the entire body 360 degrees.

Does anyone know what it is actually called? And better yet where and for how much it is obtainable?

You've got to love this group. Thanks. I've been searching for hour and a half now. Found a picture, but didn't even know the name.

Thanks

Go to whirlyjig.com They sell some there that are supposed to be pretty good. I wish I could afford one.

Most of the lift's I've seen only lift the car up with one bar under it. That doesn't seem very safe to me, but yeah, what you're seeing is a rotisserie or jig.

Check your classifieds. I've seen them for sale in the paper when body shops go out of business and what not. I think there is one for sale down here in the old B'ham if you are near Alabama.

Hey EYEROCK89,

I am actually from upstate NY (rochester), which is about 2 hours from you. Any chance you can give me any info how to find/contact them.

If I can find something for a decent price, I'll ditch work tomorrow, and rent a U-haul truck (or something)

Thanks

On second thought never mind...

right city, wrong state. I saw Alabama and read Albany. That's what you get when stay in garage till 1am and then read people's posts.

Curious anyway how much they are selling it for. (maybe a weekend road trip)

If I can find the Sunday paper, I'll let you know...i may have used it to keep paint off the garage floor. Yeah, I was abotu to say, if you could make it to Alabama in 2 hours driving, I would be very impressed....

We have 2 of them there used alot in car restoration. The black camaro on page 5 on my webpage was on a jig. Im gonna put mine on one b4 long probably, cause i want to do the undercarrage body color also. You do not want to do and body work on the jig tho like new quarters or rockers ext. I also have some pix that i can post if u want.
