What do you guys use to prevent mildew in the interior when it not being driven?
My car has been parked in the garage for the last 10 months. It was retired from daily driving, and Ive been restoring it ever sence.
I clean the interior once a month but it always has a film on the plastic and leather. Looks like mildew to me, We have a lot of humidity in Florida, so i think thats the problem. Ive put bounce fabric sheets, fabreez, lysol, ect. Inside to keep the it fresh, i leave the windows cracked sometimes also. But the mildew keeps coming back.
I know there is something you can put inside to keep the moisture down. I just dont know what its called or where to get it?
Please help my nice black Interior is turning green.

Well you open a refrigerator and what do you find? Baking Soda...
"In Closed Up Places A box of baking soda can be placed in closed-up areas to absorb bad odors and even excess moisture"
Leaving baking soda opened in the car, may help in absorbing some of the excess moisture.....
I'm from Florida, so i know about the humidity problems....

You can get dessicant crystals from a craft shop and put them in a bowl inside the car. They are used for drying flowers. I believe they can also be reused by putting them in an oven for a while. This is the same stuff they put inside the little bags inside vitamin/ medicine bottles.
