90 vs 92 door ground fx, and power to manual window swap
hey guys any of you know if the ground fx from a 1990 firebird will swap to the door of a 92 firebird? they are 2 different styles, the 90 is flat across while the 92 curves up a bit at the end. will my gfx panel from my 90 firebird cover up all the mounting holes from the 92? what im doing is replacing the driver side door on my 90 firebird with a 92 bird door and im wondering if the gfx will swap over or not.
also the door from the 92 has power window and locks, my door is manual and want to keep it manual. can i swap over my window and all the manual stuff over to the originally power door?

I had to replace my doors on my 87 trans am with 1991 Trans AM doors. Your old ground effects will cover the holes used for the newer style ground effects. You'll have to drill 3 holes for the center. Fortunately you can use two outer edge holes on your new doors to align your 1990 style ground effects. Just align the corner studs and mark where the center holes would need to be drilled. I put some rubber silicone on the holes that were not used anymore so no rust would form.
I converted the 91 doors to manual since I got tired of dealing with somthing unreliable. The holes are there for manual cranks
The main reason I put manual cranks is because I converted to a 1998 Trans am console and didn't want to wire anything.

Be careful to grind the heads of the rivit flat then drill through the peel rivits. Don't pry them out. You'll crack the holes as you know the doors are already weak

Sweet thanks for all the info! im not sure what u mean by this tho
which rivets will i need to drill out? u mean to remove the gfx from my current door to put on the new door? the 92 door already has the gfx removed so im only dealing with the removal and installation of the 90 gfx.

Oh I was talking about the four rivits on the 92 doors that have the power window regulator motors. You mentioned you wanted to keep your manual window cranks
