Race Seats and Harness' in 3rd Gens
Still trying to decide which kind of seats and harness' I want to put in my firebird. I need something lightweight but also looks good. Please post pics of your interior with race seats installed. Thanks

I have the same setup as Superman who posted above! Black Corbeau CR2 or "Carrera" seats and I went with black Simpson Cam-Lock harnesses. They bolt to my 8 point rollbar. Check my website for pics I guess, I haven't posted pics on this board yet.

Teamtech makes some great custom stuff. They are very popular in ASA, powerboat, monster truck, and Trans Am series racing for good reason. They are growing and moving into NASCAR racing soon. Best part is, you can call and talk to the owner, and he'll set you up with a personalized harness for only a few hundred bucks. I'll be soon upgrading to their new RAMPACK harness, probably in the spring.
In the mean time here is the setup that I currently have in my car. The seats are from a '95 Formula and the 8-point is an S&W Chromoly rollbar with silver Hammertone paint.
Hope you like,

Dan, it was good to meet you there. When I was driving home I realized I met "Daniel - building a better 10 bolt - Burk".
TA looked real good The 1LE brakes also made me so jealous! I also traced my problems of such slow times down to the fuel pump, I think the walbro took care of them

slightly off topic, but does anyone know of a roll cage where the back seat is still usable, maybe with just the bar right behind the front seats removed?
thanx

The roll bar is a S&W race car design, with two options: Rear seat retain, and stock door handle retain options. You can get it in steel for $275, or in Chromoly for a little over $500.
They also have swingout options for the side bars. However, I wanted maximum stiffness and decided to forego them.
Chuck, I'm glad to have met you, but I really need a photo in order to put the name with the face! I met probably 100 new folks there, as I dont get out much

The switches are from NX. You can check them out at www.nitrousexpress.com The first switch is a two way switch. Pu**** forward arms the nitrous and turns on my electric fuel pump for the nitrous. The middle one is a momentry switch, its for my purge and the third is to turn on the remote bottle valve. I'll try to get a few pics of them today or tommorow.

well I wanted to try and keep a stock look to my Trans Am so I bought a set of "pmd" seats or otherwise known as the "Knight Rider" seats. they work extremely well with my 5 point harness's and the 8 point roll bar.the 2 shoulder belts go right through the hole in the headrest like the seats were made for a harness. sorry I am unable to post a pic of my int but it does look good and is very functional.

I don't know of a site other than Ebay. just type in Knight Rider seats or pmd seats. sometimes none are up for auction. if anyone wants to see what they look like in my car and you use Yahoo msg then hook up with me on there and I can get you a pic that way of my setup. my Yahoo I.D. is prostreettransam
