1987-92 Firebird, 1987-88 Fiero, 1988-96 Corvette. If the motor runs you may just need to replace the gel inserts inside the large gear.

ok so I have a 85 and laid My hands on a pair of 88 motors... what's the big diff? The 88's are smaller and make much less noise than My 85's when they pop up... can I easily swap them?

Engine: Last time I checked...
Transmission: See "Engine"...
'82-'86 used a 3 wire headlight connection and dual gear drive. 87+ use a 2 wire connection and single gear drive.

I believe you can use the 4th gen motors also. They use a differnt connector and that's it(I think). You might want to look at them though. I think that's what I used on my fiero when the headlight motor went out on it.
Check it out, you might be able to get a brand new one for half the cost instead of getting it from the dealer.
