T-Bar removal
T-bar seemed like a fitting word, doubt it has a real name.
Anyways, I am removing my t-top seals for replacment, and took all the screws out of this piece (picture below). Does it even come out, or is it welded in?

You mean the plate ontop of the t-bar, right? With the little ridges for the t-tops to slide into? Unless I have been misinformed there is some adhesive between the plate and the bar. It should pry up once all of the screws are out.

Yes... sorry for the confusion, just the plate. Not the whole set up.
If I ever tried to make a targa, people would be injured.

There are a few screw that you can see, when you take off the t-tops. There were also a couple more that were hiding under the weatherstripping. I didn't see them till I removed the old stripping. After that, It's only held down with adhesive. It just needs some TLC to come out. Down be too rough with it, or you'll probably bend it.

Would anything bad happen if you removed the tbar?? I thought it had a big role in the structural integrity of the car. So if you remove it would the car be weakened or anything??? Im not talking about taking it out and going for a spin, im just simply talking about removing it???

Well if you remove the whole bar without ANY chassis reinforcements you'll find that you suddenly can't open your doors. The T-bar is indeed structural. At the bare minimum you'd need a beefy set of sub frame connectors. Even a rollcage is not unheard of.
It can be done though, obviously. Convertables don't have any structural integrity in their roofs, nor do the odd targa conversions seen here.
