Guns shot about once a month. Not to bad though once you cross the centerblock fence that separates us from them. Only thing ever happened here was my $300 bike i bought(with my lawn mowing money) got stolen. And once they tried to steal our seadoo, but they couldn't so the cut off the power connector.

Wow, good work doing all of that but awful choice using the fur.
On a sidenote. Maybe if you quit saying d00d all the time maybe people would like you better. Every time I read thru your posts and come across the d00d part I wanna punch myself in the face for reading that. Thats the cold harsh truth
How many times was d00d in this thread? Sorry for having to be an *** but that had to be said.

alright, i'll try to stop the "d00d." Ok?.... will everyone like that better? its just a habbit, i've tried to stop then my friends who got it off me, start it again. Its contaigeous.
SO am i and Midnight Sun the only ones who like this thing? I mean if you saw it would you guys be like "ah thats cool man", or would you say "d00d why did you do that?" I'm telling ya it doesn't really matter while your in the car, its only the headliner. If you saw it, you'd think of it better.

If I saw that in person I wouldnt make fun of you. You did a quality job putting the fabric in and correctly installing it. Just not many people like fur fabric. Especially since the 70's crap.

you guys act like its like a fur coat on my haedliner. the fur is really smooth and its not long at all, its really short. Have you ever had one of them jackets with the furry stuff in side, not the vevlit but its usually white fur stuff. its that long. i mean the fur is kinda holographic because when light hits it it looks like aluminum or silver.
I plan on making my own seat covers in not too long also. Their definately not gonna be fur. I wanna keep the old cover onbut i still want it to look cool ya know. What kinda material should i use. My mother just got her ferderal tax check the other day and is giving me all of it($400). I'm not using real leather, maybe pleather. But i also want to use colors like blue, gray, and black. Would it be alright to mix pleather then something else? I'm gonna try to make a drawing in a minute, just wait like 10min and i have a drawing of what i want it to look like.

here it is
if someone could color it in for me digitally i would be very grateful. But you get the idea of it. I know howto sow reasonably good with machines and very good by hand. My grand mother makes things like this for a living, so she taught me when i was little. Its not complicated at all. You see how its just flat fabric and i get something like pleather i now realize i would have to make it curve properly, dammit. So i'm gonna have to use something cotton right? what type of stuff should i use? i dont want the stock cloth feel. felt too dry ya know.

Great work actually putting it in a car but damn...chiks dig little puppies and cats not a ****ing cat or dog on your dang headliner...awesome job on the craftmanship...I'll prob take your instructions and do the same but with different fabric...none the less keep it real and watch what you inhale...
...put it like this...your either crazy as hell or a misunderstood genius...that was a compliment...

You know this dOOd sort of grew on me. You have to admit he does add life here, most of the crazy characters are either banned or gone. The headliner is shagadelic.

Now lets add some of those valve stem lights. Also some front, back, side to side, and 3 wheel hydraulics. Oh I almost forgot the crowning touch...... Lighted curb feelers. Ah finished oh I almost forgot the seats that swivel out to the door. And the steering wheel made out of some chain.
Seriously though if thats what you like then that is what matters. However I thought that hotglue would just melt and let go when it gets hot in the car. ?? I dont know hope it hold up for you.

Ok I was just worried about the hot glue because of the heat because where I live it gets hot. A friend put a big thermometer in my car the other day and the outside temp was 97 heat index of 108 and the temp in the car was 160+ . Hi temp glue should work. Where did you get that fabric at a sewing store or a walmart or something. I have about 5 yards of purple velvet. I got it for a toga party. I was Velvetus Meridius and my purple velvet toga and gold rope belt won 1st place for togas. Wonder what my interior would look like in purple velvet. I guess I could give it a try since Im going to replace the whole interior anyway. It couldnt look any worse than all the duct tape holding everything together now.

yeah d00d that sounds really cool. But one very good tip i copuld give you is make sure your fabric is strechable. If not corners will be impossibel. And if you follow my instructions ot shouldn't be much of a problem. if you need any help ask me.

LOL, j/k, I like your headliner! It's unique, I will give it that. It also adds a little bit of luxuriousness to your car.....

If you're trying to be unique, congrats. The problem is, you've associated yourself with a fabric that gets laughs, no matter what form it's in, coats, seat covers, and now headliners. I know it's going to be hard, but please redo it in a better material... please?
As far as your seat color questions... stick to two colors. Three colors in an interior tend to get to busy. If you do go for three colors, stick to two main colors and an accent only for very small details, like chrome, brushed aluminum, carbon fiber, etc, for the door handle levers, pedals, shift *****, etc. Tri-tone seating? No-no.
Nobody cares how old you are or what your I.Q. is, because that info is all hearsay. You are judged by your posts on these forums via the content within. Cussing puts you into a category that gets banned more frequently simply because it lowers the intelligence of the whole post, especially for those reading from places of work, like myself. Keep it clean and informative and you'll get a lot more respect from a lot more members.
BTW, d00d is not in invention of yours that I know of. I can track it back three years on one forum I know of alone...

I'm sure there is some sort of counseling that will help you with what you're experiencing right now. These are hard times for all of us, but you need to take care of yourself man!

Considering there is alot of debate over if IQ guages mental capability or current knowledge. It's like most psychological testing. It's far from conclusive. There are to many variables and schools of thought on this.
However back to the topic at hand. Flames are not needed. Either you like the work done. Or you do not. There was quality work done on the recovering. However it probably will appeal to only a small few as far as taste goes. I can see plenty of flame wars on other forums. Including the ones at my work. (Another topic not suited to this thread)

On a technical note. You will find that the fur will shed all over your interior. It will most likely annoy you. I had sheepskin seat covers on my old seats because they were really torn up. So the covers although ghetto looked alot better. They were also on sale at the auto store.
At any rate I noticed they shed fur all over my car. After a few times getting in and out of the car I noticed that fur got all over me too.
I would get in my daily driver and find that when I got out of it I found fur fuzz in that vehicle also. So the stuff gets everywhere. You may want to consider this before going to wild with the stuff. You may even want to switch to another fabric after you experience the fuzz for awhile.

at least d00d had the nuts to try this himself.......
not pay 8000.00 for the hawks kit, but to rip the headliner out, and try it.
takes stones, i like it!
nix on the dead bunny skins though........
(hey, how about some blaze orange goretex ??????? )
LOL

I love how Jim's complete disregard for this kid's feeling just bounced off him like he hadn't heard it...it's been GREAT to read.

And just another thing, for everyone taking cheap shots at him..he came on here, with detailed, great instructions, with the idea of simply HELPING other members. Maybe not the most tactful, but definitely the intention. I think the way some of you jacka*sses treated this kid is disgraceful...even for those of you with a history for it.

Well Azure, I guess you haven't read some of the other threads that kidrcth has replied to. He is a total D*ckNose, and very disrespectful to others for no reason at all. This little girl should be kicked off the board.

alright for the first question i put water proof fabric all under the fur, if you look in the pics its gray. And so far i did have a leak when w had a big storm come through here, bit i soon fixed it and i have to tell you the fur never wet.
two, no its not hotter at all. It is actually the same tepeature as before.
The only problem is its like new carpet and it sheds for a week. So everyday i've been vacuming it and it stopped shedding finnaly.

d00d dont even start. that thread, i appoligized for the way i acted. if you would read more often you wopuld know. and also what your guyses obsession with finding every post i make. seems like all you guys search for the posts i've made.
and also this thread was to help the people that read the tech articles and didn't get many of the needed tips. not for all you guys to turn it around into a circus act. I only act this was when i'm provoked to do so.

its ok Kid.. ya did a good job. I was thinking for your car... if and when you do the seat... put one of thoes vibrating pads in it so you can drive, and get a decent back massage all at a flip of the switch!! hehehehe. just a thought. Dont fret man... There are some people out there, like myself, that want a pure third gen to match what a modern day muscle car should look like... i guess you have your own take, and i can accept that, but its thoes other guys with the clear lights and converted supra air dams and twin fart cans that kinda get on my nerves... keep up the good fight.
