Replacing a door...how to?

How hard is it to swap a door and swap the interiors? Does the hinge just unbolt or will it be destroyed in the process requiring new mounts? Does the interior and power wiring switch easily? Any special tools needed to do it?

Its worth picking up an upholstry clip tool to pull the inside panel off. And a window crank puller if youve got manual windows.

I've got power doors, how hard is the wiring to deal with?

Take the door panel off and disconenct the connections from the power window, power door lock, lock switch and power mirror and mirror switch if equiped. Then squeze and pull the boot where the wires go through on the outside of the door and pull the wires out. Then you could easily remove the door simply by removing 6 hinge bolts. One of them is behind the kickpanel. Removal of the fender might be necissary, you can do it without remving the fender but it's not too hard to do so i always take it off to make removing the door easier.

wait if u take off that plastic kick panel where the hood release handle is you can access the lower door hinge bolts from inside the car?? i was looking at how to remove my door, the top bolts are cake but i cant even see the bottom ones clearly and cant get a socket/wrench on them at all. i gotta go check this out later, if u can get the bolts from inside that would be sweet.

No, two of the bolts are outside, the third center one is inside.

if u take the center one out will that hinge come out or no? you still need to take those other 2 out on the lower hinge? so in total, the lower hinge has 3 bolts, the top has 2?

Both hinges have three bolts, all three bolts on each hinge must be removed in order to remove the door.

The drivers and passangers side isn't all that different. It's just the antenna mount will be in the way when you try and get to the bolts. Another reason why I suggest taking the fender off.
