i dunno what you're thinking, but a 4th gen console bolts directly into 3rd gens...now unless you're talking about a auto 4thgen console in a manual 3rd gen, then thats different.

Beeeep. Wrong.

An auto 4th gen console does not simply " bolt in " to a 3rd gen. the manual is close to bolting in - but still requires a little modification if you want it to look proffessional.

19WS6 - we'll dig into the console this weekend and you can figure out if you still like th design of it.

You have to move the shifter over an inch or so on the car, I don't rember the name of the guy that did it, it was one of the first done though. If you don't the console will not center on the hump. You also have to cut some of the supports in the console from what I rember, or atleast notch it. The 4th gen shifter doesn't solve all the problems but I think it helps. It was done in like 2000 or might have been earler. So you are going to have to go back on the searches.

he you go this guy did it https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ished+4th+auto
