speedometer change
I was hoping I could go out and find a higher speedo from a newer thirdgen, say late 80's early 90s, since mine only goes to 85mph. If I got one from another firebird or camaro, what has to be done for it to work properly in my car? Would I need to replace the gear and tailshaft at all? Probably the gear, right? I am changing my rear gears anyway, so I will do both at once. Also, what was the highest the speedos went to in thirdgens? was it 125 or 145? I can't remember...

I have a 145 Speedo, I think it's the highest or they might have been a 150 but I doubt it.
Good luck
