Arm rest covers?

Well, I'm in Phoenix Arizona (115* heat) and I have black arm rests. You can't even put your arms on there or they will boil your skin!!

Are there any covers for them? Something like a dash cover? They are in good condition, no cracks, and they are still dark black, but they just get to hot.

I would just kinda "rig" up something with a bath cloth, but my camaro alreadly looks kinda like white trash with the primer, grease hand prints all over, crooked hood, and broken tail light ("new" one on order!).

Thanks for any help!

I don't know of one but take it to an upostry shop. I'm sure you could get a set of velour covers make for 50 or less. Hell I know a shop here in georgia that will do leather like covers for 150 a bucket seat and 150 for the rear. So look around I'm sure you will find someone willing to make them.

I have a towel that I kept in my car for when my seat gets wet...

I put that on top of my center console so it wouldn't get too hot in the sun...

took the towel off (had ttops off), and it was still too hot to rest my arm on....

Having spent a couple week in Phoenix back in September and October of 1991, I know how HOT that place gets! My air conditioning only managed to keep the interior of the car in the low-90s

Hardly comfortable but better than the 110* temps outside.

What a hard place to find propane in!

There were a lot of dead palm trees, as I recall. They rotted from the inside out and then broke in half. Very tall palms, too. It kind of reminded me of a Vietnam war zone.

Just before we got there a gang of thugs murdered about 20 people in a Buddhist temple. But folks were murdering each other wholesale in that town! Almost every morning there was another murder on the news. Cops killed a lot of people there. And a LOT of drug related drive-by shootings.

One guy popped off three punk robbers at a 7-11, too. Just reached into the back of his pickup, grabbed his rifle and shot them dead as they came out the door.

I think the murder and mayhem is what I remember most about Phoenix

I just heard on the news that in Britain there are about 40 murders commited with a gun every year. Phoenix puts that whole country in the shade!

110*? Last I checked it was like 118* haha!

I have no AC either, but that doesn't bother me, the arm rests boiling my arms off is what bothers me

I would just yank them off, but then it would be hard closing the door
