Question about fiberglass hoods

Just wondering, because i've seen alot of posts about how you have to do some slight modifications to make some fiberglass hoods fit. What do you need to do? is it with ALL fiberglass hoods? is there cutting and drilling involved? I'm probably going to just get a simple cowl hood for my camaro but i dont want to have to do too much work to get it to fit right.....
pics would be cool to (before and after style)

i put a ascd big block hood on my car about 3 weeks ago. fit fine except it was about 1/2 in. out of alignement. bolted into the stock hood hinges, it came up too far up near the windshield, and was 1/2 in. short of the front end.....simple fix, just took a drill to the hood hinge holes, so now they're not holes, they're slots. just slid the hood up and tightened the screws.....don't have a before pic but here's an after

oh so its usually just that the holes are a little off?
what if you are using a pin-on hood that requires no holes except those for which you put the pins in (or do you still have other hinge ones or what?

damn t-storm knocked my power out while i was writing back

speedingpenguin - if i'm not mistaken....a pin on hood shouldn't have any problems at all with alignement unless it's just really crappily (like my new word? ) made. pin-on hoods only attatch to the car by the front pins, and you drill the holes yourself. so you just line up, drill, and if your end result is bad its only cause you drilled in the wrong place

confucious101 - uhh, i actually don't know yet. if i keep her, then she'll have new paint in about 3 weeks. (and some TTII's ). but i just found an '83 z28 with a 400 sb that i'm looking into, so she'll be sold if i decide to go for that. i have enough cash to keep both cars, but i wouldn't be able to afford the paint job then, or insurance for both. if i sell her, i'll probably put the stock hood back on (gotta love the racing stripes) and either sell the big block hood or store it till i feel like installing/painting it on my new car.

quick photoshop of the paint job i'm getting if i decide to keep her, with the rims i'll be getting:
