Guys with the custom Headliners and door panels...
Hey, I've been wondering how u guys/gals did the door panels and the headliners with the raised images.
I want to something to my int, and would like to know how it was done if it was self done or out sourced.

This was done years ago, self done. Now that I look back they were pretty crappy but for it being my first time and not having a clue what I was doing I think I did pretty good. I have a bowtie in the upper left corner and 'IROC' in the lower right. ![Smilie](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

yeah something like that is what im talking about.
Is the bowtie something under the material, or just stitching?
I forget whos car it was they had a bird in the headliner. I want to do some type of tribal thing.
Just wondering if its something placed under the fabric

Sorry I didn't explain earlier. Yes the bowtie was just done with foam placed under the material. About any upholstery shop should be able to provide you with the right kind of foam. You are going to want something that is about 1/4 or so thick and has a high density. 45* cut the edges of whatever you are doing so the material will lay down smooth and isn't turning 90* angles to follow the foam. The foam I used in that picture was 1/2" foam and was only a medium density, not the right kind of foam to use at all. But what did I know
The 'iroc' is actually recessed in that picture instead of sticking out just because I wanted something a little bit different. If you have anymore questions just ask
