Abubaca, notching the facia won't really do you a whole lot of good. I've still got crap growing in my lenses. I heard of some people having success with sealing them completely, but that could get nasty. I'm just livin with it for right now till I figure out something.

I just put a thick layer of epoxy around the entire 'clear meets black' seam and it's done fine. Also make sure the rubber seal where the bulb screws in is making good contact.

Since everyone has had such good luck with sealing theirs up I went ahead and did it today while I was cleaning them (a 50/50 solution of hot water and bleach does wonders). Eventually I'll either cut them apart and re-silver the inside or just buy new ones altogether. Can't wait to see if sealing them up really works as good as everyone says.

I had just recently purchased a new set of parking lamps (couple of months ago). Before installing them, I checked out the tech article about making a drainage notch as described. I was also considering sealing the units with silicone, but rejected both notions. I swear to you, a week after installing them...they fogged up. I was p.i.s.s.e.d! I took them out, and cut those notches in place....took the compressor and dried out the lamps. Its been clear sailing ever since.
